Melissa Garcia

Ms. Garcia joined Allergy, Asthma and Immunology Associates of South Texas in December, 2002. She is fluent in both Spanish & English, and is certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants.

Ms. Garcia obtained her first bachelor's degree in Biology from the University of Texas at Arlington where she was inducted to Alpha Chi Honor Society. She received her second bachelor's degree in Physician Assistant Studies from the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center at Dallas.

She is an active member in the following societies/academies: American Academy of Physician Assistants, Texas Academy of Physician Assistants, Bexar County Physician Assistant Society, The Texas and The San Antonio Allergy, Asthma and Immunology Society.

Ms. Garcia helps treat children and adults with atopic disorders. She especially enjoys working with the pediatric population. Many of Melissa' close family members suffer from asthma and allergies. She prides herself in providing treatment to her patients the way she would want her own family treated.

Ms. Garcia spends her free time with her family and friends. She is a novice runner and enjoys a physically active lifestyle. Melissa has other personal interests in art, music and traveling.
