MELISSA GARCIA

Ms. Garcia joined Allergy, Asthma and Immunology Associates of South Texas in December, 2002. She is certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants.

Ms. Garcia obtained her first bachelor’s degree in Biology from the University of Texas at Arlington where she was inducted to Alpha Chi Honor Society. She received her second bachelor’s degree in Physician Assistant Studies from the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center at Dallas.

She is an active member in the following societies/academies: American Academy of Physician Assistants, Texas Academy of Physician Assistants, Bexar County Physician Assistant Society, San Antonio Allergy, Asthma and Immunology Society and Texas Allergy, Asthma and Immunology Society (pending).

Ms. Garcia helps treat children and adults with atopic disorders. She especially enjoys working with the pediatric population. Many of her close family members suffer with severe asthma and allergies. She prides herself in treating her patients the way she would want her own family treated.
Ms. Garcia spends her free time with her husband, their beloved three sons, and pet dog. Together, they enjoy swimming, short hikes, cookouts and movies. Ms. Garcia’s other enjoyments include baking, art and the theater.
