Services
Our highly trained medical providers use state-of-the-art equipment and methods to help diagnose and develop a safe and effective treatment plan.
- Skin testing- Testing identifies what areoallergen's (airborne allergies) a patient may be allergic to. Test includes a combination of 59 allergens that are applied to the skin (normally on the back). Skin testing can be performed on patients three years old and up. (Common Antihistamines click here)
- Allergy injection- Immunotherapy helps with desensitizing patients to specific allergens (aeroallergens and insect venom).
- Rush Immunotherapy- An advanced form of immunotherapy that allows patients to reach their monthly maintenance schedule in a shorter period of time. Patients will receive a series of shots that are based on what allergens they are allergic to. Rush Immunotherapy requires a one time, six to eight hour in office appointment. (For more information aboutRush click here).
- Pulmonary Function Testing (PFT)- Testing is performed using a spirometer. Spirometer’s measure how much air a patient can exhale in a certain period of time.
Testing allows the provider to estimate how well the lungs move oxygen into the bloodstream. Some lung diseases (emphysema, chronic bronchitis, etc) can make the lungs contain too much air. Other lung diseases (fibrosis, asbestosis, etc.) make the lungs smaller so that they contain too little air. This information helps the provider determine if the patient is prescribed adequate medications.
- Xolair- FDA approved June 2003, Xolair (Omalizumab) is a medication for patients with moderate to severe allergic asthma. These patients have tested positive to perennial areoallergens and whose symptoms are inadequately controlled with inhaled corticosteroids. (For more information about Xolair click here).
- Cinryze- FDA approved October 2008, Cinryze TM is a plasma-derived C1 inhibitor (human) product, that is used for routine prevention against Hereditary Angiodema (HAE) attacks in adults and adolescent patients. Similar C1 inhibitors have been used in Europe for more than 30 years to treat patients with C1 inhibitor deficiency.
